The Brantz Power Conditioner has been designed to provide a reliable voltage source for Brantz International Rally Meters and Retrotrips. It is essential when these instruments are connected to a road vehicle having either a 6V power system, or a 12V system with low reliability.
Connections must be made directly to the vehicles battery terminals
and must be of the screw on, or soldered terminal type. Input range: 5V
to 15V An internal fuse is fitted which will disconnect the power for
around 30 seconds and then re-connect if the unit is overloaded. Note
the Output voltage is approximately 15V. The Power Conditioner is intended to supply only one tripmeter!
The unit will not compensate for loose connections or interference type faults.
When the output is switched off, the unit continues to consume a few milli-amps, so if the car is to remain
unused for a period, the Power Conditioner should be wired via a good quality, well connected switch.
