Brake master cylinder with square plastic reservoir.
Between 1980 and 1985, the Mini had 4 different types of brake master cylinder fitted.
Parts GMC173, GMC198 had a pressure failure switch fitted to the body of the cylinder and GMC192, GMC195 both had a fluid level switch fitted to the cap.
All cylinders from this time have now been superseded by GMC227.
